Cosmetic Eyelid Surgery

When meeting with Dr. Bland for an eyelid surgery (“blepharoplasty”) consultation, patients are asked about their expectations and desired outcome. Depending on the patient’s particular situation, our Colorado Springs plastic surgery expert may recommend one of the following:

• Upper eyelid surgery: Excess fat and skin are removed through incisions made along the natural creases.


• Lower eyelid surgery: Dr. Bland will either reposition or remove excess fat; the skin will then be tightened to prevent future sagging.

Commonly, upper and lower eyelid surgery is combined for a more refreshed and youthful-looking appearance. Eyelid surgery is often combined with facelift surgery (“rhytidectomy”) for optimal facial rejuvenation results.
