As we grow older, our eyelids, much like the rest of our face, begin to experience significant changes. The most common signs of aging in the upper eyelids are loose skin and excess "Fat Pockets", resulting in a sad or tired appearance. As far as the lower eyelids, many people experience loose skin, excess "bulging" fat, and droopiness.

At our Colorado Springs facility we offer both upper and lower eyelid surgery.
During upper eyelid surgery, excess skin and fat are removed through an incision in the natural crease. Muscles resulting in frown lines between the brows can also be modified to reduce these lines.
For lower eyelid surgery, excess skin is removed and excess fat is repositioned and/or removed. The lower eyelid is usually also tightened to correct droopiness or to prevent it. During lower eyelid surgery, incisions are made on the inside of the lid, the outside or both, depending on the degree of aging.
